Communication
1. Write a note in your child's communication book (travels to and from school daily and is provided by the school) to give us information or ask a question.
2. Call the school 8:45-9:00 or 3:45-4:00 to talk to us or leave a message with a phone number and time to call you back.

A Day In K2 Kindergarten
D.P.A. Outdoors (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) *Monday is Gym for K2
-organized physical activities outside for 40 minutes
Carpet Time
-O'Canada and prayer
-attendance activity (e.g. name match/sign-in)
-book or specific lesson to guide play
Exploration Through Play
-lots of different areas to use (imagination station, table top activities, manipulatives, writing)
-curriculum expectations met through play
-inquiry topics will differ by class as the children's interests differ
Snack (Planned Play is still going on!)
- "snack table open" and students choose when to eat and then move popsicle stick (or move stick even if choose not to eat)
Clean Up
Carpet Time
-students share learning that occured during the morning
Outdoor Time
-play out on the yard for 40 minutes
Lunch
-Gr. 6 students help during this eating time
Quiet Time
-lay down on sleep mats or the carpet with small blanket, listen to quiet music with the room darkened
-even if they don't sleep, laying quietly rejuvenates their minds and body for the second portion of the day
-30 minutes
-put stuff away, get a book and read -let sleepers sleep unless otherwise advised by parents
DPA
-body break (movement to music following various videos)
